Job Summary

At Murfreesboro Family Medicine , we believe great care starts with great people. We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant who enjoys building relationships with patients and being part of a close-knit healthcare team.

In this role, you’ll help create a smooth, welcoming experience for our patients—from preparing for visits to supporting providers during care. You’ll play an important part in keeping our clinic running efficiently while ensuring every patient feels heard, respected, and cared for.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by reviewing charts, updating records, and setting up exam rooms 
• Welcome patients and help create a positive, comfortable environment 
• Assist providers and nursing staff with routine procedures and patient care 
• Clean and maintain instruments and exam rooms according to clinical standards 
• Track lab results and help ensure timely communication with patients 
• Call in prescriptions and assist with basic clinical and administrative tasks 
• Answer phones and help guide patients with scheduling and general questions 
• Help manage and restock medical supplies and equipment 

Qualifications

• BLS Certification and/or Certified Medical Assistant (preferred, not required) 
• Previous medical assisting or nursing experience is required 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills 
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for caring for patients
