Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, using a combination of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that align with both short-term goals as well as long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Engage in individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to create comprehensive and cohesive care strategies.
• Provide essential education to patients and their families, ensuring continued progress between clinical sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments in speech therapy, guaranteeing continuity of care throughout the entire treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by engaging in continuing education and collaborating with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
