Spectrolab offers a break from the famously difficult Los Angeles commutes.Position Responsibilities:Provide sustaining process engineering support for production of solar cell wafers and solar cell assembliesMaintain process control using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools, troubleshoot process anomalies, understand operation of process equipment, and provide timely response to manufacturing issues and needsInteract closely with teams within the larger Operations group to achieve organizational goalsIdentify and execute continuous improvement and breakthrough new product or process ideas to reduce process cycle time, reduce product cost, and improve product performanceSupport Research and Development (R&D) activities associated with advancing solar cell technologies and reducing the cost of the productsEmbrace and foster a working culture where safety is a top priorityAnticipate and drive innovative solutions to create valueAdopt an entrepreneurial mindset and take smart risksMaintain a productive sense of urgencyBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement1+ years of experience working with semiconductor processingPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in the semiconductor (III-V, II-VI, or Si) industryExperience in semiconductor processing, solar cell devices, material characterization and analytical techniquesExperience with photolithography, thin film (metal and dielectric materials) deposition techniques, wet and dry etch processes, and high temperature annealing processesExperience with gated approach to process and product development and Aerospace industry material and qualification requirementsExperience in programming with VBA, LabView, C, C+, C++, SQLKnowledge of statistical analysis, statistical process control, and lean principles
