Technician Specialist II

Position: Tech Specialist 2
Location: South Hill, VA (with occasional travel within the DMV)
Schedule: Monday–Friday onsite (8am–5pm) + occasional Saturdays
Compensation: $90k–$120k + OT opportunities

Must-Have Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) , HVAC controls , or EMCS
- Hands-on experience with:
- System startup
- Point-to-point testing
- Basic functional testing
- Working knowledge of BMS platforms (preferably Niagara ; also Siemens or Schneider)
- Understanding of BACnet/IP, Modbus, and IP-based control networks
- Ability to troubleshoot:
- Controllers, sensors, and field devices
- HVAC equipment
- Familiarity with HVAC systems such as:
- AHUs, CRAC units, chillers, and VFDs
- Experience working in mission-critical environments :
- Data centers, hospitals, or military installations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in an engineering-related field
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform point-to-point testing and support functional commissioning
- Assist with Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
- Configure controllers and communication settings
- Work within BMS platforms to monitor system performance
- Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers
- Support integration of HVAC and power systems
- Execute test scripts and document commissioning activities
