Plant Controller

Silgan Containers is seeking a Plant Controller to provideplantlevelmanufacturing accounting and financeexpertiseat our Edison, NJ,manufacturing facility. This rolefocuses oncost accounting, inventory control, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and SOX internal controls within a structured manufacturing environment.

The Plant Controller reports to the Plant Manager and partners closely with plant operations and corporate finance to ensureaccuratereporting, strong internal controls, and effective financialsfor manufacturing operations.Compensation for this NJ-based positionrangesfrom $85,000to$110,000 per year and is based on experience, education, and skills.

WhatYou'llDo as a Plant Controller

• Assistwithinventory accuracy, including quarterly physical inventories, audit cadence, and variance resolution

• Managemonthlyclosing, plant financial statements, and standardized financial reportingin accordance withcorporate timelines

• Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan submissions

• Maintain standard costs, cost accounting processes, and bills of materials

• Managecompliance with SOX internal controls andmaintainaudit readiness

• Participate in production meetings and conduct regular plant walkthroughs

• Partner with plantmanagementon manufacturing finance and cost management

• Providedaytodayoversight of the plant accounting clerk and plant planner

• Collaborate with corporate financeonreporting accuracy and control compliance

• Support HR functions as needed

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in AccountingorFinance

• 3-5 years of manufacturing accounting or manufacturing finance experience

• Strongknowledgeof cost accounting, inventory controls, andmonthendclose

• Working knowledge of GAAP principles

• ExperiencewithSOXaligned or internal control environments

• Detailoriented, organized, andprocessfocusedwork style

• Comfortable managing plant accounting duties with minimal supervision

• Strong ability to meet deadlines while working collaboratively

• Prior peoplemanagementexperience preferred

• JD Edwards or ERP system experience preferred
