Prep CookAs a Cook, you will support the delivery and execution of quality food service to residents and guests.Essential Job Functions:Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations.Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift.Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system.Cooking order according to food health and safety standards.Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.Handling multiple food orders at one time.Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive.Dressing order for presentation.Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides.Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner.Storing all food properly.Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils.Reordering stock and food supplies.Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training through designated Learning Management System (LMS).Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents.Qualifications:Able to work in a fast-paced environmentAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyPhysical endurance to stand for an entire shiftSelf-motivated and self-directedWorks well as part of a team and on individual tasksAble to quickly multiple ordersHigh school degree or equivalentPhysical Qualifications:Walk/Stand – must be able to continuously walk and stand.Environment Condition – must be able to perform work both inside and outsideSit – sit infrequentlyLift - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 poundsCarry - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 poundsPush - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 poundsClimb – must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if availableBend – must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips and spine on a frequent basis; may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.Squat – must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 50 pounds or less.Twist or rotate – must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.Reach– must be able to reach on a frequent basis. May occasionally reach overhead, requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating weight of 25 pounds or more.Sensory Vision – must be able to read clearly with or without corrective lensesHear - Must be able to hear telephone and audible alarms.Must be able to taste and smell.Speech/Language – must have strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret administration information.
