Dietary Aide

Shore Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center -

Shore Gardens Rehab Center , a long-term skilled nursing facility located in Ocean County, New Jersey is looking for Dietary Service Aides to join our team. Our Dietary Service Aides perform a variety of food service functions in the preparation and delivery of meals to residents.

Responsibilities:

• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Observes proper food handling techniques.
• Ensures proper setup of food for tray line and/or dining rooms and retrieves food carts to and from resident areas.
• Sets up trays for meals/works tray line position.
• Prepares snacks and beverages from between-meal service to patients.
• Washes pots, pans and other equipment as necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation through entire work areas.
• Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures; Scrubs and mops floors, cleans and sanitizes equipment.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Food Service Director
• Participates in all in-services and activities as required
• Maintains the confidentiality of all protected health information whether electronic, written, or oral exposed to either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous experience in a nursing care facility or other previous service experience preferred.
