This role focuses on supporting clients with their daily living activities while ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort. This role focuses on supporting clients with their daily living activities while ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort. Caregivers play a key role in monitoring client conditions, maintaining accurate care records, and effectively communicating with the care team. Essential Functions:
- Assist clients in maintaining their independence by providing daily support and companionship.
- Monitor and document the client's physical and mental condition, reporting any changes to the Field Supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment by following established care procedures and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines regarding the confidentiality of client health information.
- Uphold company and industry standards, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene needs.
- Provide mobility assistance, including support with walking aids (cane, walker) and other adaptive equipment.
- Help plan and prepare meals and snacks in accordance with dietary needs outlined in the client's care plan.
- If needed, assist with client feeding.
- Observe and report any changes in a client's:
- Physical condition (e.g., mobility, weight, appetite).
- Mental or emotional well-being (e.g., mood changes, confusion).
- Home environment that may pose safety risks.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a clean living space.
- Document care activities and communicate updates with the caregiving team through client care records.
- Participate in ongoing training and in-service education as required.
- Strong ability to work independently and adapt to different client needs.
- Excellent time management, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and meal preparation.
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and provide compassionate care.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Arizona Food Handler's Card
- T.B Test
- Must maintain current certifications, including First Aid, TB test, and required in-service training.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of performing caregiving duties, including standing, bending, and lifting.
