Case Manager – Full Time- Emergency Shelter Schedule: Sundays through Thursdays 7:00am-3:30pm | Rate of pay: $23.00 per hour Join the Rescue Mission Team! The Rescue Mission is seeking a Case Manager to work with the homeless population in Syracuse, NY. This is a first-shift position scheduled to work Sundays through Thursdays 7:00am – 3:30pm with Fridays and Saturdays off. The Case Manager assists clients by assessing their needs and collaborating with appropriate services to aide clients in moving toward healthy independence. This position will assist in maintaining a structured, safe, and supportive environment which reflects the mission, vision and values of the Rescue Mission. Additional Duties: The Case Manager will manage a caseload and provide timely and accurate documentation. The role involves assessing client strengths and barriers, developing and monitoring client goals, and offering supportive counseling to promote positive growth. The Case Manager will establish strong rapport with clients, assist in setting attainable goals, and track progress through regular assessments and follow-ups. They will also connect clients to appropriate services and resources, ensuring communication with partner agencies is handled promptly. The position requires maintaining professional boundaries, confidentiality, and collaboration with community services such as financial, mental health, and legal support. Attendance at required meetings, adherence to safety policies, and the flexibility to perform other duties as assigned are also key components of this role. Regular, in-person attendance is essential. Requirements: Associate's degree in human services or related field or equivalent work experience Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred Previous related work experience Valid NYS Driver License in compliance with company driving criteria Familiarity with community services a plus Bi-lingual skills a plus Rate of Pay: $23.00 per hour Work Schedule: Sundays through Thursdays 7:00am-3:30pm Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Needed to Perform Effectively in this Position: Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and compassion toward a vulnerable population.
