This position performs a variety of golf course maintenance tasks to ensure exceptional playing conditions while operating equipment safely, following all club policies, and contributing to a positive team environment. Compensation Hourly Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications. Overtime opportunities available during the growing season and special events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mow greens, tees, fairways, approaches, roughs, and practice facilities. Change golf course cups and tee markers as directed. Rake and maintain bunkers to club standards. Trim around trees, bunkers, sprinkler heads, and landscape features. Operate walk-behind and riding mowers, utility vehicles, string trimmers, blowers, and other maintenance equipment. Assist with irrigation repairs and hand watering when required. Apply fertilizer, topdressing, seed, and other turf products under supervision. Assist with aeration, verticutting, overseeding, and other cultural practices. Remove debris, leaves, and storm damage from the golf course. Monitor course conditions and report turf, irrigation, drainage, or equipment issues to supervisors. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other golf course maintenance duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications Previous golf course maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping experience preferred but not required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license preferred. Work Schedule Early morning start times, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. Overtime may be required during the growing season, tournaments, aeration, or special events. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices. Ability to safely operate golf course maintenance equipment. Commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Walk several miles each day over uneven terrain. Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and climb.
