An established pediatric dental practice is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join our administrative team. This position is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the practice by ensuring payments are posted accurately, accounts remain balanced, patient ledgers remain current, and outstanding claims are followed through to resolution.

The Financial Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the financial accuracy of the practice while providing excellent service to patients and supporting the administrative team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in payment posting, account reconciliation, claims follow-up, and patient account management.

Responsibilities include:

• Posting insurance and patient payments accurately and timely
• Reviewing and applying Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Balancing and reconciling patient accounts
• Maintaining accurate patient ledgers and financial records
• Monitoring outstanding claims and following up as necessary
• Researching claim delays, denials, and payment discrepancies
• Processing claim corrections when needed
• Generating patient statements and assisting with billing inquiries
• Processing account adjustments and refunds
• Following up on unpaid balances and outstanding accounts
• Communicating with patients regarding account balances and payment responsibilities
• Assisting with daily balancing and financial reporting
• Maintaining compliance with HIPAA and office financial policies
• Assisting with additional administrative duties as needed

Qualifications include:

• Previous experience in dental billing, financial coordination, or dental office administration preferred
• Experience posting insurance and patient payments
• Experience balancing and reconciling accounts
• Knowledge of EOBs and claims follow-up procedures
• Familiarity with Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or similar dental software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
