Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Maintenance Technician supports reliable, safe production by troubleshooting and repairing injection molding equipment and related systems. This role performs preventive and predictive maintenance, installs and assembles new equipment, and helps ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding equipment to minimize downtime and maintain consistent production quality.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on molding machines and auxiliary equipment to extend equipment life and reduce failures.
• Maintain auxiliary equipment such as mold temperature controllers, material dryers, compressors, conveyors, and material loaders to ensure they operate efficiently.
• Maintain building safety and appearance, including tasks such as painting, utilities upkeep, and ventilation system maintenance.
• Maintain building plumbing systems, including both waste and process plumbing, to ensure reliable facility operations.
• Assemble and install new equipment, ensuring proper alignment, connections, and functionality according to specifications.
• Fabricate parts from drawings or measurements to support equipment repairs, modifications, and improvements.
• Assist in recordkeeping and documentation required by the Maintenance Management System, ensuring accurate maintenance histories and compliance.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean, safe, and functional maintenance work area.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to identify maintenance needs and support continuous improvement of equipment reliability.

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
• Hands-on mechanical maintenance skills, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of mechanical components.
• Facility maintenance experience, including work on building systems such as utilities, ventilation, and plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues and guide repairs or fabrication work.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills related to production and auxiliary equipment.
• Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulic systems in an industrial setting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Capability to perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks according to established procedures.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining maintenance records and documentation in a Maintenance Management System.
• Commitment to working safely in a demanding industrial environment.

• Background in industrial maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or facility maintenance.
• Experience maintaining injection molding equipment and related auxiliary systems.
• Ability to fabricate parts from drawings or measurements using shop tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and structured maintenance programs.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient maintenance work area.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.

The role is based in a heavy industrial setting that is very hot and dusty. Temperatures increase in the summer due to product being processed in a kiln that reaches approximately 2150 degrees, although employees are not required to work in close proximity to the kiln itself. The facility places strong emphasis on safety and has maintained a record of no lost time injuries at this location for several years. The work involves hands-on tasks around production and building systems, using industrial tools, equipment, and maintenance technologies in a physically demanding environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, KY.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Florence,KY.
