In this role, you will contribute to diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making, develop individualized plans of care, and partner closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.Does this position require Patient Care? YesEssential FunctionsDeliver compassionate, patient-centered care, counseling, and education to a designated inpatient oncology population.Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations to support timely clinical assessment and care planning.Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies to guide clinical decision-making.Develop and implement individualized plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic results, physical examination findings, and patient needs.Prescribe medications and manage treatments in accordance with organizational policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.Complete accurate, timely, and high-quality documentation, including admission notes, progress notes, procedure notes, and discharge summaries.Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population, scope of practice, and clinical setting.Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care and support safe transitions throughout the inpatient stay.QualificationsEducationMaster's Degree Physician Assistant requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?NoLicenses and CredentialsMassachusetts Physician Assistant requiredExperienceExperience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSkilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.Ability to maintain quality control standards.Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.Additional Job Details (if applicable)Learn more about MGB PA’s: TypeOnsiteWork Location75 Francis StreetPay Range$126,838.40 - $173,867.20/AnnualGrade7At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
