Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the part-time SWIC Educational Employee Union position of Campus Support Assistant. In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position provides a wide range of clerical duties. The work is highly responsible and complex. It involves the performance of delegated administrative work, which relieves the supervisor of administrative details. Work involves considerable direct contact with students and instructors. There is extensive contact with community members and educational agencies. The work requires considerable knowledge of college policies and procedures and the exercise of independent judgment, discretion, and initiative based on that knowledge. Work is performed with a minimum of supervision. The work is reviewed for adherence to college policy and procedure and for achievement of desired results. Duties may include support for the Success Center and testing services. The position may require evening and/or weekend coverage at SWGCC.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required. Additional clerical training preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in clerical work in a fast paced, multi-task environment preferred.
• Work experience with technology including, Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, web editor software such as Word Press, and instructional equipment essential.
• Infoshare and PeopleSoft experience preferred.

Pay and Hours: $19.03 per hour, up to 28 hours per week.

Work Location: Primary office is located at the Sam Wolf Granite City Campus.
