Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 1The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 1 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance. This worker acts as an entry-level material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at the Tracy, CA Safeway location. The shift schedule is 6 am-2:30 pm with Mondays and Tuesdays off. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience.Tasks and Qualifications:Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.Create and close work orders into asset management system with appropriate data, to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.Troubleshoot basic conveyance problems and understand the resources to resolve them.Locate and track spare parts from inventory.Respond to basic service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.What We Are Looking For:High School diploma or equivalent required. Typically, vocational technical training preferred.Demonstrate a basic mechanical knowledge of a technical or specialty area.Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds eachRegular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the headOccasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 poundsHave functional dexterity in both hands and wristsAble to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitationWorking conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfacesMust be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours
