Research Associate
Natera
Natera seeks a Research Associate to support in vitro diagnostic product development in Austin. The role involves executing experiments, processing laboratory specimens, maintaining equipment, and performing molecular biology techniques including DNA isolation and next-generation sequencing sample preparation. Responsibilities
Execute simple experiments independently following standard operating procedures
Receive, process, and track laboratory specimens using database queries and Excel
Perform DNA isolation and extraction from various sample types
Process samples through PCR library preparation and next-generation sequencing
Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and contribute to SOP development
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in biological science or equivalent
Minimum one year of molecular biology laboratory experience
Hands-on proficiency with PCR, qPCR, and nucleic acid extraction
Experience with PCR library preparation and NGS platforms
Practical knowledge of sample databases and tracking systems
DNA isolation from biological samples preferred
