ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. The candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Perform ECG rhythm recognition and demonstrate safe medication practices.
Participate in patient education and support activities.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in an ICU setting.
Permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.

Additional Information

The position is for the night shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). The nurse is expected to work at least every other holiday. During orientation, candidates must successfully complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment.
