Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Step-Down unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of critical care or step-down experience, providing high-quality care to patients who require a Medical Step-Down level of care.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a Medical Step-Down setting.
Monitor and manage patient conditions, ensuring compliance with care standards.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families regarding health management and recovery.

Mandatory Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of critical care or step-down nursing experience.
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association only.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association only.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or other professional nursing certification recognized by the Magnet Association.
2 years of experience in critical care or step-down nursing.

Required Licenses/Certifications Prior to Start

Registered Nurse (RN)
BLS from AHA
ACLS from AHA

Shift Information

Shifts available: Rotating or Nights. Candidates must be flexible to work either option. Shifts are 12 hours long, with holiday and weekend rotation required.

Additional Information

No guaranteed hours.
Overtime is paid at the regular, all-inclusive rate.
Holiday coverage is required.
