The team at THD Design Group provides Engineering Design, Land Surveying and Construction Management for both the public and private sectors. We provide expertise and technology necessary to execute a project from preliminary design, mapping and ultimately to the final design stage when the project is ready for bid and construction. Then, we provide construction support through plan clarification and contractor and field surveyor coordination.

Our Surveying/Engineering staff has provided economical and efficient surveys/designs for numerous projects, boundary/topographic surveys, ranging from single family residential, large commercial and industrial developments and municipal projects.

THD Design group is looking for a Experienced   Surveyor/ Crew Chief. 

We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief for our St. Louis Design Team. 

You will serve as the on-site expert ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead and manage the ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
• Plan, organize, and execute field survey operations across multiple states
• Operate and maintain survey equipment (GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, etc.)
• Interpret project requirements, plats, deeds, and legal descriptions
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of field data collection
• Communicate effectively with project managers, office staff, and clients as needed
• Maintain daily field notes, reports, and documentation

EXPERIENCE

• 2 year's experience in a survey department Required
• Experience in completing field work necessary to complete a boundary survey Required
• Ability to train field personnel on finding appropriate monuments Required
• Strong problem solving and resolution skills,
• Ability to multitask
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to communicate via email and verbally
