Dental Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator
Blue Jay Dental | Columbia, MO 65203
Full-time $15–$30 per hour, based on experience

Help patients feel welcome while keeping a busy dental office organized. Blue Jay Dental is recruiting a Front Office Coordinator for an established private dental practice in southwest Columbia, Missouri.
This family-owned, veteran-owned office offers a personal approach to dentistry and a collaborative workplace. Its reputation includes a 4.9-star rating and more than 1,000 patient reviews. Your RoleYou'll help patients navigate their visits and support the daily flow of the practice. Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients and assisting with front desk needs.
- Answering calls, responding to questions, and coordinating appointments.
- Checking dental insurance eligibility and coverage information.
- Assisting with billing questions and maintaining accurate patient account information.
- Organizing administrative tasks and communicating with teammates to keep the day running smoothly.
Dental office or medical reception experience is preferred. We're looking for someone who communicates clearly, follows through reliably, and stays organized while managing several priorities.
A friendly, professional manner, attention to insurance and account details, and a willingness to help coworkers will serve you well in this position.
Hours and Compensation- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 7:30 a.m.–noon
- Pay: $15–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
- Benefits: Health insurance and paid time off.
The schedule leaves Friday afternoons free, while the private practice setting offers the chance to build lasting connections with patients and colleagues.
