Position Summary:
The Accounting Clerk will provide essential administrative support to the Accounting Department, managing accounts payable and receivable, updating financial records, and assisting with reporting and reconciliations. You'll need to be able to use accounting software and understand accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Create and update reports using Excel and Navision.
- Manage invoice processing (print, save, file, match).
- Perform 3-way matching (PO, receipt, A/P invoice).
- Reconcile A/P invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with general ledger reconciliations and month-end closing.
- Maintain vendor files and resolve inquiries.
- Assist with weekly check distribution.
Accounts Receivable:
- Reconcile sales shipment packets.
- Generate and send customer invoices.
- Maintain and update customer files.
- Research short pays/deductions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred) and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivable.
- Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus
Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods; occasional bending.
- Lift up to 20 pounds.
- Flexible to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
