INTERNAL AFFAIRS SPECIALIST

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Internal Affairs Specialist to support its internal affairs and ethics and compliance functions. The specialist will assist with detecting and deterring employee misconduct, policy violations, fraud, waste, abuse of state resources and assets, and other organizational improprieties.

This position will provide investigative, administrative, analytical, and documentation support, including data analysis, interview coordination, investigation file maintenance, evidentiary material compilation, and investigation report preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Outlook data log requests through the appropriate technology portal.

• Prepare and submit case management system data log requests.

• Analyze data log reports and convert information into clear, sequential narrative summaries.

• Schedule investigation-related interviews.

• Assist with note-taking during interviews.

• Maintain an internal affairs referral investigation portal.

• Maintain and organize electronic investigation files.

• Compile evidentiary materials for investigations.

• Proofread and edit investigation report documents.

• Assist other Ethics and Compliance departments as needed.

• Provide administrative and investigative support as assigned.

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive investigative information.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.
