Sales Associate

Great direct hire opportunity for a Sales Associate in Rutland! The Sales Associate provides fast and friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. This role maintains the condition of the sales floor, ensuring that it is clean and shoppable. They will also make deliveries and test/install car batteries.  *Must have the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays!*  

salary: $39,520 - $39,520.01 per year

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, friendly customer service in a fast-paced retail environment 

• Greet every customer with a positive attitude & smile  

• Engage customers to understand their needs using open-ended questions 

• Maintain strong product knowledge to confidently assist and advise customers 

• Promote special offers, and current sales to enhance the customer experience 

• Explain product features and benefits in a clear and helpful way 

• Drive sales by recommending “good, better, best” options and related add-on items 

• Meet or exceed individual sales goals and performance expectations 

• Accurately process transactions and handle cash and card payments via a Point of Sale System 

• Assist with inventory tasks, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise 

• Keep the store clean, well-stocked, and easy to shop 

• Perform basic battery testing and installation, including automotive batteries 

• Complete local deliveries using a company vehicle, as needed 

• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager

• Team-oriented environment with individual performance expectations 
  Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred  

• Previous retail or customer service experience 

• Previous delivery driving experience is preferred 

• Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements 

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays 

The essential functions of this role include:

• standing for 8 hours at one time
