Land Surveyor at NDI Engineering Virginia Beach, VA

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. Location: Virginia Beach, VA. Pay: $70,000 - $85,000 annually. Role and Responsibilities Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, data collectors, and other surveying equipment. Perform boundary, topographic, construction layout, and as-built surveys. Collect, process, and verify survey data with accuracy and attention to detail. Assist in preparing survey drawings, maps, legal descriptions, point clouds, and related documentation. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure project requirements are met. Maintain, troubleshoot, and properly store all surveying equipment. Ensure compliance with company safety protocols. Support licensed surveyors and senior staff with project-related tasks. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus. Experience in land surveying or construction layout preferred. Ability to read and interpret plans, maps, and legal descriptions. Strong math, problem-solving, and spatial reasoning skills. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. LSIT/PLS license required. Professional surveying license required.
