We are looking for highly motivated, adaptive, and self-directed candidates with motivation to join our technical workforce, expand their technical skills and capabilities, and grow our work supporting the development and deployment of nationally important solutions through Model-Based Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Systems Architecture and Requirements Engineering, System-of-Systems, Systems Thinking and practices.As an Associate Systems Engineer, you will leverage and grow your systems engineering expertise to support the design, implementation, and integration of enterprise systems and systems-of-systems and analysis of missions for federal agencies.Specific responsibilities may include:Using your understanding of systems and mission engineering and an awareness of sponsor needs to determine areas where MITRE can have an impactApplying modern methods and tools such as Model-Based Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Mission Engineering, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics to assess capability needs, requirements, architecture, designs, performance constraints and gaps, proposed changes, and verification and test approachesEvaluating and comparing alternative architectures using qualitative and quantitative techniques; exploring large tradespacesIdentifying and developing metrics to measure and analyze relevant system properties, such as robustness, resiliency, interoperability, quality, and maintainabilitySupporting requirements management, interface management and architecture change management processesPerforming System Design and development (such as software development), systems modernization, and architectureSupporting multiple tasks across several government sponsored projects in a small to large team environmentBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field.Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and MATLABFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering (DE) conceptsExperience with statistical analysis and modelingInterest in complex multi-disciplinary problemsWillingness and ability to learn new tools/concepts in a variable environment of government sponsorsMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI U.S Government issued Security Clearance.
