Job Description

Job Summary:
The CT technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography procedures with professionalism and a focus on service excellence. They ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and adherence to regulatory standards throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to established protocols.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment, supplies, and patient areas to maintain a sterile environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain procedures, alleviate anxiety, and maintain dignity.
• Verify patient identification and medical history, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
• Observe patient conditions before and after contrast injections, reporting any adverse reactions to appropriate staff.
• Assist in routine cleaning, inventory management, and supply replenishment of the CT imaging rooms.

Qualifications:

• Hold current ARRT RT (R) and RT (CT) certifications and NJDEP - New Jersey State X-Ray License.
• Maintain BLS certification and current CPR credential.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED, with completion of a radiography technical training program.
• Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture and power injector protocols.
• Show excellent communication, attention to detail, and patient care skills.
