Senior Business Systems Analyst (Remote)

Senior BSACRAFT (Corporate Rates and Forms) is expanding its capabilities to serve First American's internal business functions more broadly — including AI and automation, analytical frameworks, and process improvement. This role contributes to that work by gathering requirements, mapping business processes, and developing proof-of-concept solutions that the CRAFT team uses to validate and shape the right approach for each engagement. The role requires strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly across varied business problems.What You'll Do:Participate in discovery sessions with internal business partners to gather requirements and understand current-state workflowsMap business processes, document findings, and bring forward observations and recommendations to the engagement leadDevelop proof-of-concept solutions that validate technical approaches before the CRAFT team moves to full implementationApply AI tools actively in day-to-day work — using them to analyze, draft, research, and build — and bring that literacy to bear when evaluating solution optionsWrite and maintain documentation, including process maps, requirements, and POC summariesIdentify inefficiencies and gaps in existing workflows and surface them with supporting analysisWork across engagement types as needed — AI and automation, data and analytics, and process improvementOther duties as assignedWhat You'll Bring:BS degree or equivalent work experienceTypically 4–7 years of directly related experienceTitle and financial services background requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills — you ask questions before drawing conclusionsComfortable conducting interviews and working sessions with managers and their teams to gather requirements and map processesActive user of AI tools in professional work — beyond basic prompting; you use AI to get real work doneClear written and verbal communication skills; able to document complex processes and summarize findings for a non-technical audienceAbility to manage your own work and deliver reliably across multiple concurrent assignmentsExperience with Cursor or other AI-powered productivity tools preferredFamiliarity with process mapping, requirements documentation, or business analysis frameworks a plusFamiliarity with data visualization or BI tools recommendedBackground in financial services, title insurance, or other regulated industries preferredPay Range: $85,000.00 - $113,300.00 AnnuallyFirst American will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws (e.g., the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act).First American intends to conduct a review of an applicant's criminal history in connection with a conditional offer.
