Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical & Telemetry

Schedule

3x12 nights, 1900-0730, Monday to Friday. No call, no weekends.

Assignment Details

Average daily census: 16-18 patients. 24 beds. Staffing ratio: 1:5 during nights.

Requirements

• Active nursing license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; CPI preferred
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience: EKG rhythm identification and non-titrating cardiac drips
• Epic charting preferred
• Float required within service line and scope
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• No pending license accepted

Responsibilities

• Caring for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients
• Assessment and management of medical and telemetry patients
• Pre- and post-procedure evaluation and care
• Neurological assessment for acute ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attack patients
• Administer advanced medication infusion without titration; decrease/weaning is allowed
• Exclusions: active unstable gastrointestinal bleeding, uncontrolled ischemic chest pain, continuous non-invasive positive pressure ventilation, and certain medication drips
