Req ID: Region: AmericasCountry: USAState/Province: TexasCity: RichardsonSummaryThe Specialist, IT Infrastructure - Systems Administrator will install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the site's operating environment, ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance and security of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring and upkeeping the operating environments; responding to incidents & problems, planning for growth, deployment of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, maintain and perform testing of PC/server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware. Support core networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless setups. Linux and other mainstream OS knowledge will be helpful.Building, sizing and deploying Windows Server experience and Nutanix/VMware implementation experience a plus – minimum of 5 years building/troubleshooting servers.Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts, Layer2 VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Cisco experience is a plus - minimum of 3 years of experience.Basic understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards (including Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7), how signals travel, signal-to-noise ratios (SNR), and dealing with interference or dead zones.Advanced knowledge of infrastructure service management & diagnostic tools and processesAdvanced knowledge of end-point security management tools and processesExperience handling network security issues (viruses, malware, social engineering)Understanding of IT Infrastructure asset lifecycle managementTypical Experience4 to 6 yearsof relevant experience in a similar role or industry.Typical EducationBachelor's Degreeor consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.Educational Requirements may vary by GeographyPhysical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
