Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) providing vital medication compliance support under the guidance of physicians and nursing staff. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM, focusing on delivering quality care to individuals ranging from newborns to geriatric patients within a crisis stabilization setting in the Midwest region of the United States.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure timely and accurate documentation following organizational policies. Demonstrate proficiency in unit and department-based competencies, policies, and procedures. Administer care as directed to achieve positive patient outcomes. Complete, verify, and reconcile Medication Administration Records (MARs). Collaborate with providers and pharmacies to maintain accurate medication lists. Educate patients on medication compliance according to state-approved procedures. Support quality care initiatives that promote positive health outcomes. Meet scheduling requirements including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties. Uphold privacy and security regulations related to Protected Health Information (PHI). Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, team members, physicians, and external agencies.

Education and Experience:

Completion of an approved CMA training program is required. Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

Licenses and Certifications:

Current CMA certification valid in the state of Kansas. Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider must be obtained within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two or more years of professional experience in a similar healthcare environment is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in basic medication administration. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Competent computer skills. Working knowledge of math, dosing, and pharmacology.

Physical Requirements:

Light work involving occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds and frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds. Standing or walking may comprise 11-25% of the workday.
