About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments including interviews, bedside checks, and lung capacity evaluations
• Administer aerosolized medications, perform chest physiotherapy, and maintain patient airways
• Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilation for patients in intensive care or requiring life support
• Provide emergency care including intubation and CPR as part of rapid response teams
• Conduct and interpret blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests to assess oxygen and carbon dioxide levels and lung volume
• Educate patients and families on managing chronic lung conditions and operating home medical equipment

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active and valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Oklahoma
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Experience with ventilator management in an intensive care or acute care setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with rapid response or emergency care teams
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis
• Experience providing patient and family education on chronic respiratory conditions and home medical equipment
