Job Description

This role supports a large manufacturing facility in the Eastern Indianapolis area by safely moving, tracking, and preparing materials for production and shipment on 2nd and 3rd shift. You will handle high volumes of product, operate a variety of material-handling equipment, and follow detailed procedures to ensure accurate inventory control and documentation.

Shift + Pay:

TRAINING HOURS (4-6 weeks): 1st shift: 6:30AM to 3:00PM Monday through Friday

2nd shift: 2:30PM to 11:00PM Monday through Friday- $23/hr

3rd shift: 10:30PM to 7:00AM Sunday through Thursday- $23/hr

Responsibilities

• Pull, pick, and pack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, handling approximately 1,000 boxes per person per shift.
• Use electric and manual pallet jacks and tuggers to move carts full of materials throughout the facility.
• Occasionally operate a sit-down forklift to move palletized products safely and efficiently.
• Physically push full carts containing 72 containers per cart, up to 10 times per day.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate picking, packing, and order fulfillment.
• Weigh product and packaging according to specific customer requirements and specifications.
• Complete all required documentation for materials, including batch numbers and other details, in line with established guidelines and procedures.
• Work in a high-volume warehouse environment, consistently meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Follow all safety procedures when operating forklifts, pallet jacks, tuggers, and other material-handling equipment.
• Participate fully in the structured training program, including lecture-style and hands-on training, to learn department-specific processes before transitioning to the assigned shift.
• Adapt to working in a hot, dirty, and oily department, maintaining focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Support overtime needs by working additional hours at the end of scheduled shifts and occasional Saturdays with advance notice.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a Forklift or Tugger Operator.
• Experience as an Order Selector or in a similar picking and packing role.
• At least 1+ year of tenure per job in prior work history, demonstrating reliability and consistency.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks (manual and electric), and tuggers.
• Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use RF scanners for inventory tracking, order picking, and documentation.
• Comfort working in a hot, dirty, and oily production environment.
• Willingness and ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and complete 46 weeks of training on 1st shift.
• Ability to work overtime, including 24 additional hours at the end of shifts and occasional Saturdays with notice.
• Strong attention to detail when weighing products and completing documentation for materials and batch numbers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, IN.

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
