Sales Manager - West Coast[ May live anywhere in Western state ] Salary : $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 + 20% BonusJOB TITLE: Regional Sales Manager – West CoastDEPARTMENT: SalesREPORTS TO: National Sales ManagerTHE ROLE: We are currently seeking a driven individual for a Regional Sales Managerrole serving the West Coast of the United States. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is accountable for boosting sales growth and expanding market share within a designated region for a producer of valves catering to the municipal water and wastewater sector. This position oversees regional sales strategy implementation and supervises a group of independent manufacturer’s representative firms. The RSM collaborates with consulting engineers, municipal end users, internal application engineering, and inside sales to impact specifications, cultivate project opportunities, and deliver profitable growth in line with company pricing and margin targets.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage, guide, and nurture a network of manufacturer’s representative firms; establish expectations, monitor performance, and offer continuous training and assistance.Provide front-line application engineering and product selection support in coordination with internal engineering resources.Collaborate with inside sales to create competitive project quotations aligned with regional sales objectives, pricing strategy, and gross margin targets.Identify, assess, and oversee sales opportunities from specification through approval.Maintain precise opportunity management, forecasts, and activity tracking in Salesforce.Forge strong connections with key regional stakeholders, such as engineers, municipal decision-makers, contractors, and distributors.Watch competitive activity and market trends within the region and present actionable feedback to management.Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows as necessary.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or comparable experience).5+ years of sales or technical sales experience in the municipal water and/or wastewater industry; valve or process equipment experience highly desired.Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales forecasting.Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordKEY COMPETENCIES:Coaching and development of sales partnersNegotiation and opportunity managementData-driven forecasting and pipeline managementCross-functional collaborationWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:Consistent achievement of regional sales, market share, and margin targets.Accurate forecasting and disciplined opportunity management.SKILLS REQUIRED:Strong technical and analytical skills with a hands-on leadership approachExcellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilitiesDetail-oriented and results-driven, with a focus on accuracy, profitability, and organizationStrong communication, negotiation, and customer-focused skillsExperience with software systems and Microsoft Office SuitePHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Noise level in the work environment is usually mild during work activitiesFrequently required to communicate orally.The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 30 poundsEXCEPTIONAL BENEFITS:Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceShort-Term Disability & Long-Term Disability Insurance
