VP- Business Analyst- Data Privacy & Compliance Job Overview The Business Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in the job and the business. They are a recognized technical authority for an area within the business, requiring basic commercial awareness. They communicate and influence colleagues across areas and external customers, providing advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and ensuring impact on the sub-function/job family. Responsibilities Gathering and documenting business requirements. Developing project artifacts such as Business Requirements Documentation (BRD), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRD), test plans and scenarios for user acceptance testing (UAT), and project plans for key technical deliveries. Managing day-to-day project responsibilities: milestone setting, task and action management, coordination, and execution within required timelines and stakeholder quality expectations. Providing implementation and post‑implementation project support. Fostering and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing, and development team members. Identifying key project risks and managing them to resolution or escalating accordingly. Operating with a limited level of direct supervision and exercising independence of judgment and autonomy. Acting as SME to senior stakeholders and other team members. Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Data Privacy: Manage and oversee all regulations involved with the DTA product, focusing on privacy regulations across Citi's 91 countries, including GDPR. Ensure firm‑wide consistency in data usage and privacy impact assessment approvals, streamlining PIA processes. Develop and implement strategies for obtaining and managing individual consent in various countries, collaborating with Country Heads, HR, and Privacy Legal teams. Address data management concerns by supporting robust governance, data accuracy, integrity, and consistency for DTA data. Ensure adherence to established SOPs related to data privacy, security, and compliance. Controls Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and implement robust controls for the DTA product, emphasizing user access controls for sensitive data. Implement enhanced controls aligned with central DTA guidelines and business‑led controls specific to DTA use cases. Identify key project risks related to regulatory compliance and data access, managing or escalating as necessary. Business Requirements & Analysis: Gather and document comprehensive business requirements for DTA features, focusing on regulatory, privacy, and control aspects. Develop project artifacts including BRD, FRD, test plans, and UAT scenarios. Analyze opportunities for enhanced controls and automated processes to reduce manual effort and processing risk. Stakeholder Management & Project Execution: Manage day‑to‑day project responsibilities, milestone setting, task and action management, coordination, and execution within required timelines. Foster and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing, and development teams. Provide implementation and post‑implementation project support. Strategic Alignment: Contribute to DTA's strategic positioning by aligning initiatives with enterprise objectives and fostering cross‑functional collaboration. Support the DTA Center of Excellence expansion and enablement of self‑service analytics, embedding privacy‑by‑design principles. Qualifications 6–10 years of experience. Extremely organized, motivated, and self‑starter. Ability to prioritize and juggle several tasks at once. Works well under pressure, enthusiastic, hard‑working, and positive. Desire to improve processes. Advanced working knowledge in the Equities IT space and exposure to Cash Prime Brokerage flows. Track record as a Business Analyst within Financial Services/Investment Banking. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions. Ability to quickly grasp and understand new concepts and product/functional knowledge. Experience with Agile Methodologies and tools. Team player and relationship management skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines. Knowledge of the SDLC. Education Bachelor’s/University degree; Master’s degree preferred.
