TeamHealth is seeking a pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physician to join our outstanding team at Children's Medical Center Plano, a premier Level IV Trauma Center in Plano, Texas. This is a high-volume, high-acuity pediatric emergency department where physicians are supported by state-of-the-art technology, a strong specialty network, and a fully staffed team of PEM-certified physicians.\n

Opportunity Highlights \n

• Independent contractor (1099) position
\n
• Competitive compensation
\n
• Base rate plus RVU
\n
• 90 hours of physician coverage daily (recently increased from 80 hours)
\n
• 10-hour shifts
\n
• Daily census: 180-200 patients per day
\n
• Patient volume: 1.8-2 patients per hour
\n
• Scribes available 
\n
• 8% admission rate
\n
• EMR: EPIC
\n
• 24-hour in-house radiology reads for efficient diagnostics
\n
• Bedside ultrasound and helipad services available
\n
