Commercial Glass Estimator

Planet Glass TN | Columbia, TN (On-Site) | Full-Time

Compensation: $60,000–$80,000 DOE

About the Opportunity

Planet Glass TN is a growing leader in the commercial and residential glass industry, providing high-quality glazing solutions throughout Middle Tennessee. We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Glass Estimator to play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of commercial glass projects.

This position is ideal for a professional with estimating experience in commercial glazing, storefront systems, curtain wall, architectural glass, or related construction trades who can accurately analyze project requirements, develop competitive bids, and support project execution from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine project scope.
• Prepare accurate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates for commercial glass projects.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Develop detailed quotations, bid packages, and project proposals.
• Assess project risks, scope changes, and cost impacts.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, installation teams, and vendors to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Track and monitor project costs throughout various phases of construction.
• Maintain organized estimating records and support project scheduling activities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commercial Glass Estimator, Glazing Estimator, or Construction Estimator .
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of commercial glazing systems, storefronts, curtain walls, windows, doors, and related products preferred.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, estimating principles, and project costing.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
