Position Overview We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets. Responsibilities Execute various technical tasks within field operations: on‑site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment and systems. Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test systems, and provide technical support to customers. Enforce adherence to safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW) and M.C. Dean handbook and policies. Analyze and interpret project drawings for constructability, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Verify correct charges in timesheets and perform installation and maintenance activities within planned durations. Track and inventory tools; conduct consistent tool inspections and perform daily tool inventory for assigned tools and equipment. Participate in daily ORM meetings and ensure team compliance with safety requirements. Participate in PITCO plan creation and build‑out; execute the plan to include testing to verify high quality. Install system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and all mounting hardware components, ensuring proper grounding and adherence to NEC standards. Terminate, test and configure electronic devices, network and IT equipment. Rack and stack head‑end equipment, terminate cable terminations and accessories associated with industry standards. Communicate consistently with MC Dean Project Teams, exhibiting dedication, punctuality and preparedness. Act as a collaborative teammate, providing and absorbing constructive feedback with internal and external customers. Plan and prioritize tasks effectively, embodying the M.C. Dean vision, mission and values. Survey and document existing field conditions, providing feedback and recommendations to the project team. Qualifications Clearances: Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and may be required to obtain a Public Trust. U.S. citizenship may be required. Valid driver’s license required. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Acceptable driving record per company policy. High school diploma or GED required. At least 4 years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs. Strong oral, written and presentation skills. Background working with multidisciplinary teams. Time‑management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives. Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems). Installation experience with these systems. Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or electrical apprenticeship program. 3 years of experience focused in electronic security systems. Physical Demands & Abilities Ability to lift, carry and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance. Work at heights up to 60 feet and climb, maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders. Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis. Good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color and communicate in English. Use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools. Recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong (problem identification).
