Human Resources Generalist

Wieland is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support day‑to‑day HR administration at the Delaware site, acting as the primary employee liaison and handling HRIS entries, reporting, and various HR processes. Responsibilities Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities: Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, facilitate compliance with policies, conduct Tier I investigations, and support community engagement. Talent Acquisition Support: Coordinate job requisitions, conduct new employee orientation, assist with hiring and campus events. Payroll Support: Train supervisors on time reconciliation, audit attendance records, manage attendance tracking, and communicate with Payroll Coordinator. Benefits Support: Educate employees on benefits, coordinate FMLA/STD/LTD tracking, manage return‑to‑work processes, promote wellness programs, and schedule on‑site benefits events. Administration: Enter HRIS data for hires and terminations, maintain electronic records, update role descriptions, ensure policy compliance, support Workers Compensation cases, administer Recognition Program, provide reports, and update documents. Additional Accountabilities: Support special projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent education and experience. HR certification preferred (PHR). 5+ years HR Generalist experience. Experience with HRIS systems preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Manufacturing environment experience preferred. Strong alignment with Wieland values and commitment to a positive work culture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Sound judgment, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities. Reliable, flexible, and responsive with a sense of urgency. Highest level of integrity and confidentiality. Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws. Ability to manage and communicate change at all levels of the organization.
