Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum; At least 1 travel contract completed preferred License: Iowa and Illinois licenses required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Chest tubes - Femstops - Trachs - Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI) - Drains - Central Lines - Medication titration: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. This unit has historically maintained a 1:7 patient ratio. The high volume of open travel needs is a direct response to fixing this ratio. The more travelers who fill the vacancies, the lower the ratio will be. Working every other weekend is required. References: One supervisory reference is required at the time of submission. A profile should include a valid driver's license and a completed work history/resume. A skills checklist must have been completed within one year prior to the submission date, and license verification is required. Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.
