The Position

Fox Nissan in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a full-time, onsite Parts Advisor. This role supports the parts department by helping customers and the service team get the right parts quickly and accurately.

Key responsibilities:
- Assist retail customers and the shop with parts selection at the counter, by phone, and through internal requests
- Provide pricing, availability, and basic product guidance, including related parts and specials
- Review body shop estimates for correct parts and pricing alignment
- Order, receive, stage, and follow up on special-order and back-ordered parts; coordinate notifications and deliveries
- Process charge sales, returns, and credits with proper documentation
- Stay current on product updates and new offerings

Required qualifications/skills:
- High school diploma/GED; 1-3 months related experience/training (or equivalent)
- Comfortable using technology
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up; able to multitask and prioritize

You'll start by checking what came in overnight, what's still pending, and what the service lane needs first. The day moves between quick counter conversations, phone questions, and coordinating with service and the body shop as priorities shift. You'll spend time in the catalog and system confirming fitment, then step into the stock area to locate items, stage pickups, and keep the flow moving. Expect steady pace, frequent handoffs with teammates, and a clear focus on accuracy so repairs don't stall. You'll wrap up by confirming open items are tracked and tomorrow's needs are set up.
