Data Platform Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Data Platform Engineer.

Duration: 12+ months Contract
Location : Sacramento, CA - US (Remote)

What candidates will do: Build Databricks pipelines and transformations
Experience Level Required: 8 to 12 years' experience candidates
Must have Key Technologies Required: Databricks, ArcGIS Python API, Spatial data, Unity Catalog, AWS S3, Python, SQL

We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer with 8-12 years of experience in designing and developing scalable data solutions.
The primary responsibility of this role is to build Databricks pipelines and data transformations to support enterprise data and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize Databricks pipelines and transformations.
• Build end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows from scratch.
• Process and manage spatial/geospatial data using ArcGIS Python API.
• Implement data governance and access controls using Unity Catalog.
• Manage and integrate data stored in AWS S3.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data architecture, development, and deployment.

Desired Experience:

• Strong experience in data engineering and data platform development.
• Hands-on experience with architecture design, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and GitHub.
• Understanding of data formats, databases, and cloud-based data platforms.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $60 - $68/- per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
