Warehouse Supervisor (3rd Shift)

MSI Express is a single-source contract manufacturing and packaging company, delivering innovative engineering solutions from our strategically located network of manufacturing facilities.ROLE PROFILETo ensure warehousing, shipping and receiving targets are met or exceeded by training and developing workers, managing employee scheduling, managing inventories and inbound and outbound trucks. Ensure product quality is preserved through proactive involvement in process improvement. Supervise, manage and develop warehousing personnel. Conduct plant audits and reviews of warehouse assuring company standards are maintained and work with other departments to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. Identify and help to implement improvements. Function as an information source to various departments to continuously improve operations. Support customer service during customer visits and audits. Support the Plant Manager on special department projects. Ensure workers are following safety and GMP guidelines.RESPONSIBILITIESSafety ManagementEnsure all personnel work safelyEnsure workplace is clean, organized, and safeConduct safety discussions with all personnelOverall shift managementCoordination of all warehouse functions on shiftWork collaboratively with all departments to ensure smooth operationsEmployee schedulingEnsure effective equipment operation and warehouse efficiencies are metManage material receiving/finished goods shipping, documentation and execution so that product quality is maintainedWork with customers to ensure their goals for shipping and receiving are metManage organization of the warehouseDrive food safety and quality of materials through worker training, development and ensure warehouse equipment is properly functioning and operatedGenerate work orders for equipment issues and improvementsResponsible for Inventory ManagementWork with operations to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained per production scheduleEnsure inventory systems Bill of Materials are setup for proper relief of inventories during productionEffectively manage finished goods levelsWork with external warehouses to effectively manage inventory levelsManage the scheduling of deliveries with suppliers and manage exceptionsManage and perform inventory cycle countsContinuous Improvement of OperationsUnderstand Warehouse processes, including shipping and receivingReview warehouse efficiencies and work with all departments to improve throughputWork with management to improve efficiencies and reduce costTrack improvement ideas to understand effectiveness of changesSupport personnel training and developmentEnsure warehouse personnel (forklift operators, shipping and receiving) are trained on following SOPs, performing the tasks on the equipment checklists, performing quality inspections, and monitoring and documenting materials entering and leaving the facilityEnsure warehouse personnel are trained on warehousing, general operations, food safety and quality SOPsAssess employee performance (both MSI and Staffing), develop improvement plans, and implement training to increase employee skills and performanceProvide regular, documented feedback to employees to improve performanceSOP implementation and review in areas of responsibilityUnderstand SOPs and provide improvement ideas and upgradesEnsure employees are properly trained on SOPsEnsure SOP training is properly documentedOther duties as assignedMSI Express is an equal opportunity employer.
