We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations for a manufacturing environment in Stow, Ohio. This Long-term Contract position focuses on sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and helping internal teams maintain steady production through timely and accurate procurement activities. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with buying processes, purchase order management, and issue resolution, along with the ability to communicate effectively across suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Review bills of materials and stock levels to identify purchasing needs for components and raw materials.
• Prepare and distribute requests for quotation, evaluate supplier responses, and negotiate competitive pricing for routine commodities.
• Create and manage purchase orders with vendors, confirm transaction accuracy, and follow up on urgent deliveries to keep schedules on track.
• Investigate and resolve shipment variances, shortages, pricing errors, delivery conflicts, and supplier quality concerns.
• Keep internal teams informed of supply issues, expected resolutions, and practical alternatives to reduce operational disruption.
• Serve as a key point of coordination between suppliers and internal customers to support effective communication and timely problem-solving.
• Approve payment exceptions when invoice discrepancies require review and resolution.
• Document procurement workflows and procedures as assigned to support consistency and compliance.
• Monitor inventory levels to help maintain targeted stock positions unless otherwise directed by leadership.
• Maintain complete and accurate purchasing records in both digital and physical formats, and utilize company systems as needed, including Visual Manufacturing when applicable.• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support within a manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of corporate procurement practices, buying processes, and purchase order administration.
• Experience reading and acting on bills of materials and coordinating RFQ activities with suppliers.
• Ability to negotiate pricing, manage vendor relationships, and resolve invoice, shipment, and delivery discrepancies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Computer literacy with familiarity using enterprise procurement or manufacturing systems; experience with Visual Manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records, track inventory activity, and manage multiple priorities.
