Release Train Engineer (Remote)

An enterprise financial services organization is seeking a Release Train Engineer in a remote opportunity. This role will support Agile delivery for large-scale HR data modernization initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics, governance, and reporting.

About the Opportunity:

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: Standard business hours
Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

Lead the Agile Release Train supporting HR data warehouse initiatives
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and PI Planning
Coordinate cross-functional teams through Scrum of Scrums and dependency management activities
Partner with Product Owners to refine priorities and maintain backlog readiness
Track delivery progress, manage risks and impediments, and communicate timelines and status updates

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Agile Delivery Lead, or in a related role
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, or a similar Agile certification
Strong experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies
Experience facilitating PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and multi-team Agile delivery
Experience managing enterprise-scale projects involving data, analytics, or cloud platforms
Strong understanding of backlog management, release planning, and dependency tracking
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to influence teams and drive alignment without direct authority

Desired Skills:

Experience supporting Azure-based data warehouses, data lakes, or analytics platforms
SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification
PMI-ACP certification
Experience working with Oracle HCM and HR data ecosystems
Experience supporting data engineering, analytics, governance, and integration teams
Familiarity with AI, reporting, and enterprise data modernization initiatives
