Pediatric/NICU Registered Nurse (RN)
The Pediatric/NICU Registered Nurse (RN) position is available within our Pediatrics Department. This role requires a dedicated professional to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients, including those in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Shift Details
- Options for shifts: 3x12s or 4x12s
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Floating Required: Will work in both the Pediatrics department and NICU
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant nursing experience required
General Requirements
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
- Requests for time off must include a commitment to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays
Job Responsibilities
The Pediatric/NICU RN will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients
- Administering medications and treatments as per physician orders
- Monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Educating families regarding care plans and health needs
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the department
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license
- Experience in pediatric and/or NICU settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
