Reading Interventionist

At Killingworth Elementary School (grades K - 3), we are looking for a reading interventionist with a deep understanding of current reading/language arts instruction and pedagogy. The preferred candidate profile includes demonstrated ability to work effectively with teacher teams, a clear understanding of the MTSS process, the ability to effectively identify and monitor interventions for struggling readers, flexibility and creativity, and strong oral and written communication skills. Advanced training in specific reading interventions/models is also required. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the school's student support team and will work to meet the needs of students requiring more intensive support by developing and implementing effective action and monitoring plans. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with, and support teachers with classroom instruction in reading/language arts. HKEA Teacher's Contract.
