A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide professional services at a 40-bed rehabilitation hospital. This position offers a chance to utilize your hospital pharmacy skills in a dynamic care environment, supporting patient recovery and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Location:
- Nampa, ID (near Boise)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
- Consult with nurses and physicians regarding medication therapies and patient care
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication dosing
- Utilize Cerner electronic medical records for documentation and order processing
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Idaho pharmacist license or ability to obtain quickly
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficient with medication order verification and clinical consultation
- Familiarity with Cerner systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
