Security Data Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a High School Diploma and 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
• We require 5+ years of experience building production data pipelines with Python.
• We require experience consuming REST or comparable APIs at scale.
• We require experience with network and security tools such as Nmap, Rapid7, or similar solutions.
• We require experience integrating AI capabilities with applications for efficient code responses.
• We prefer a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• We prefer experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• We prefer strong software testing practices and quality standards.
• We require an active/current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• We require the ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.

• We design and maintain enterprise data feeds from 10+ network and security vendor APIs.
• We build intelligent parsers that can handle a wide range of data formats.
• We orchestrate automated pipelines for recurring data download, transformation, and loading.
• We ensure reliability and performance through ongoing monitoring, error handling, and optimization.
• We respond quickly to API updates, data format changes, and vendor-related issues.
• We integrate AI capabilities for data extraction, classification, anomaly detection, and auto-healing.
• We evaluate new tools for potential adoption and their positive effect on project workflows.

We are MANTECH, and we are seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Security Data Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this role, we build and sustain enterprise data feeds that support network and security intelligence platforms. We work with multiple vendor APIs, develop robust ETL pipelines, and apply AI to address complex data extraction and normalization challenges.
