Project Manager II - Senior Associate

Job Description

Join our Chief Administrative Office Team within the Testing Center of Excellence as an Associate where you will help execute and improve governance and risk management strategies, enhance compliance with Firmwide and TCoE Standards, and build supportive relationships with TCoE Stakeholders. The role partners closely with TCoE testers and managers, and Chief Administrative Office personnel across the global footprint, covering multiple Firmwide Lines of Business (e.g., Corporate & Investment Bank, Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Bank, and Consumer & Community Banking) to contributed to identification of gaps, themes, and emerging risks, and to drive continuous improvement in testing quality and control coverage. Your primary focus will be on global employee access oversight and support, tools and solutions, records management and data governance.

As an  Associate, Monitoring and Testing Quality Review within the Testing Center of Excellence, you will execute independent quality reviews to confirm monitoring and testing activities are completed in line with applicable standards, methodology, timelines, and documentation expectations. You will evaluate whether outcomes are consistent, defensible, and appropriately risk-focused. You will work closely with testing teams and control partners to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities that strengthen control coverage and testing effectiveness. 

Job responsibilities  

• Engage with Testing Center of Excellence personnel and managers to support stakeholder needs and governance requirements associated with employee access, tools & solutions, records and data governance.
• Design and execute internal control processes to demonstrate adherence with firmwide policies and procedures 
• Lead initiatives to strengthen governance and control transparency across employee access, tools & solutions, records and data governance.
• Contribute to improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and clarity reporting and process management using new technology and modernization opportunities
• Foster strong relationships with TCoE stakeholders by being responsive to their needs.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally to provide timely, valuable and data driven insights into CAO activities.
• Contribute to the identification of key issues, trends, recurring themes, and process/control weaknesses; perform root-cause analysis and provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve processes.
• Maintain data and records related to the outcome of processes as part of comprehensive documentation and reporting

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills  

• Bachelor’s degree (business, IT, or related field) or equivalent related experience.
• Relevant experience in financial services (Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, Operational Risk, operations, or business control management); experience performing data assessments, reviews or validations 
• Understanding of internal control concepts and operational risk drivers, and the ability to evaluate business and risk considerations.
• Strong analytical skills, including assessing risks associated with execution deficiencies; ability to conduct root-cause analysis and identify themes/trends.
• High standards for documentation quality; detail orientation and ability to challenge and improve workpaper defensibility.
• Relationship-building, influencing/negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; effective written and verbal communication, including escalation when needed.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Comfort leveraging data and reporting tools/dashboards to support review outcomes.
• Willingness to continuously learn (new tools/technologies/guidance) and complete relevant training/certifications as required.
• Support internal process enhancement initiatives. 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

• Experience with control testing activities (e.g., substantive testing, control evaluations, issue validation testing).
• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) or stress testing review concepts (where applicable).
• Experience assessing evidence sufficiency and traceability and challenging unsupported conclusions.
• Experience using analytics/automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Python) to support review outcomes.
• Relevant training or certifications aligned to the role (as required).
