CNC Field Service Technician

Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls for customer organizations. Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues. Ensure proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer regarding the status of machine issues, repairs, and installation. Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and conduct after‑sales technical support and training. Possess and maintain an in‑depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company. Other Functions Perform related duties as required. Qualifications Five years’ experience with CNC machine repair. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other business programs as required. Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics. Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including flexible hours and frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory. Benefits Competitive starting salary. Ability to concentrate and remain focused while prioritizing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects. Ability to sit for prolonged periods. Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavy material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees. Ability to frequently use hands and arms. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work responsibly and professionally in dynamic job sites that may involve tight timelines, changing priorities, and interaction with customers and team members. Role (Safety‑Sensitive) Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment. Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas. Strong hand–eye coordination and fine‑motor skills required for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work. Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
